France has found the first case of the new variant
The French health ministry stated that the patient was a French citizen in the central town of Tours who had arrived from London on December 19. They confirmed that he was asymptomatic then suddenly tested positive. He is currently self-isolating at home.

Japan has found the first case of the new variant
The Japan health ministry confirmed its first case of the new variant of coronavirus identified in the United Kingdom. They said, ” The five people arrived between December 18 and December 21, A man in his 60s caught fatigue, but the other four were without symptoms.
Health Minister Norihisa Tamura announced that these five people went to quarantine. They are isolated and under surveillance.
