Taiwan in St Lucia: Ambassador Chen donates ICT Equipment to PDJS school

St Lucia: Ambassador Peter Chen and friends from Taiwan donated ICT Equipment to Patricia D. James Secondary School, St Lucia.
PM Allen Chastanet acknowledges the generous donation of Ambassador Peter Chen and friends from Taiwan.
PM Allen Chastanet stated, ” Extremely grateful to Ambassador Peter Chen and our friends from Taiwan for their generous donation of ICT Equipment which included laptops and tablets, to the Patricia D. James Secondary School, formerly known as Vide Boutielle Secondary.”
A St Lucian, Pearl King Algan wrote, “Thank you and grateful for your gift of laptops and Tablets to the students at Patricia.D. James School. Blessings.”
On the other hand, Ambassador Peter Chen is pleased to join Ms. Michelle Charles, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education of Saint Lucia, Chief Education Officer Dr. Fiona Mayer; Ms. Merlyn Innocent, Education Officer of District II and Mr. Peter Louisy, Acting Principal of Patricia D. James Secondary School (PDJSS) to announce the distribution of ICT equipment such as laptops and tablets to build a smart learning environment.
Acting Principal Louisy shared the history, development, and motto of #PDJSS with Ambassador Chen. Ambassador would like to encourage students to use the devices smartly to uphold the “Christ for Discipline, Knowledge, and Success!”
On November 18, 2019, PM Chastanet stated, “Our friends from Taiwan have evolved through for Saint Lucia once again, delegates from the Taiwanese Embassy here in Saint Lucia headed by Ambassador His Excellency Douglas Chen made a presentation of 30 Asus Laptops to the Saint Lucia Boys Training Centre located in Massade, Gros Islet on his Facebook post.
Furthermore, he added, These laptops will form part of a program at helping develop the technical aptitude and skills of the boys housed at the center. As we work towards Building a New and Better Saint Lucia, we must find new ways and techniques to deter and rehabilitate delinquent juveniles. Once again, my sincerest thanks to our friends from Taiwan and AsusTek Computer Inc. for this most welcome donation.
