St Lucia: The government of St Lucia has informed that Saint Lucia Housing and Population Census would commence from May 17, 2022 (Tuesday).

St Lucia: The government of St Lucia has informed that Saint Lucia Housing and Population Census would commence from May 17, 2022 (Tuesday).
The government has planned various activities, including RoadShow on May 7 (Saturday).
“The countdown is to the 2022 Saint Lucia Housing and Population Census starting on May 17. Several activities have been planned in the build-up, including a ROADSHOW on Saturday, May 7,” the government of St Lucia stated.
Furthermore, it said that it begun in Castries and will head north to Gros Islet and other communities in the north, including Monchy and Babonneau, then head to the west coast.
“The informational roadshow will make shortstops in the communities of Anse-la-Raye, Canaries and Soufriere before heading south to Choiseul, Laborie and Vieux-Fort. The roadshow will also make stops in Micoud and Dennery on its way back to Castries,” mentioned the government.
It notified the general public that it would give special prizes to the residents. It further mentioned that the main objective behind the roadshow would be to motivate the public to participate in Census.
The government was quoted as, “At each stop, residents will be provided with information on the 2022 National Housing and Population Census and get a chance to win special prizes. The purpose of the Census 2022 Roadshow is to encourage all Saint Lucians to participate in the Census, which begins May 17 and runs until September.”
The government further stated that in 2022, the theme is “The Future is Counting on You (Konté Sent Lisi).” The roadshow will be live on the Facebook page of the Central Statistical Office.
