St Kitts and Nevis: St Peter’s water issue to be resolved soon, announces PM Terrance Drew
Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, has informed the general public of his constituency – St Peter’s about the availability of water.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, has informed the general public of his constituency – St Peter’s about the availability of water.
He outlined that the team from Water Department visited the area and has stated that water will be available in the constituency by the morning of July 7, 2023 (Friday). PM Drew further mentioned that till then water will be provided by the fire trucks.
PM Terrance Drew updated the general public about this new update through his social media and noted, “Greetings, to my constituents of St Peter’s without water as a result of the drought, the workers from the Water Department visited the catchment area and expect there will be water in the area by tomorrow morning. In the meantime, the fire truck has been out delivering.”
He added that the government under his guidance and monitoring will work to provide gallons of water. He also mentioned that continuous work has been done to construct a desalination plant.
“Your Government is expanding the desalination plant for Marriott to increase by about 400000 gallons, and the process for a 2 million gallon desalination plant has already started,” the social media post by the Prime Minister outlined.
He furthermore took an opportunity to highlight that the previous administration has never concentrated on the water issues but his government has been putting efforts to deal with it in less than one year.
His message to the general public of St Kitts and Nevis mentioned that no plans for addressing the water were put in place by the last administration and in less than one year your Government is dealing with this issue as a very high priority.
PM Terrance Drew added however, this prolonged drought, due to climate change, is complicating the situation, but we are on a path to resolution once and for all.
These dedicated efforts by the Labour government have been praised by the general public who took the comment section to laud the Prime Minister. One such users noted, “Yes Hon. PM. Dr. Terrance Drew we sure do appreciate you sending the Fire Truck to assist us with getting water during the coast of the day!! The water came back this afternoon, but the pressure was low but it better than having no water! Thanks!!”
Yet another one mentioned, “Yes PM Dr Drew. With God’s help you will fix the problem. Stay focus. Better with Labour.”
