St Kitts and Nevis: PM Harris promises to provide assistance of $1000 to unemployed citizens

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris has always been an administrated for the public, as his decisions always favoured the people of St Kitts and Nevis. PM Harris-led administration has magnificently handled all the problems and provided a safe as well as secure country to all residents of the twin-island Federation.

The government has worked for all – from children to women to men; the strategies and policies drafted by the administration have focused on the advancement of every aspect. It has also followed the people-centric approach.

Recently, PM Harris assured to provide income support to the ‘unemployed’ residents of the nation. The government will provide $1000 monthly to the beneficiaries. PM stated, “The government will be providing financial support worth $1000 per month to the unemployed citizens.”

“We will keep the same for the three months; it will be increased because ‘we care’,” he outlined.

Prime Minister Harris anticipated that this financial support would help the residents in fulfilling the needs of their families.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Harris promised the Government Workers that their salaries would be increased.

PM Harris has also been praised for efficiently managing the country during the hard times of the global pandemic COVID-19. Currently, under his administration, St Kitts and Nevis have been reporting only zero (0) COVID-19 confirmed cases.

It is worth noting that in only in few months of 2022, PM Harris has launched various plans to benefit the people of St Kitts and Nevis. The foremost focus of the government in 2022 was to vaccinate the citizen to safeguard them from the novel virus – SARS CoV 2 virus.

PM-led administration also powerfully and effectively managed the economy amid and post-pandemic. PM Harris said, “We managed will because of our fundamental principles”.

Prime Minister continued the league, and in February 2022, the government handed over keys to Petrocasas Houses to the 15 families.

The administration delivered its commitment to provide the same environment as the cases of homicide have witnessed a decline in the last 20 years, and in 2021, the Federation achieved the best ever crime detection rate in over 20 years.

Prime Minister Harris outlined, “Success in crime-fighting is as a result of substantial investment in the security infrastructure. We built as well as renovated police stations, defence force and coast guard facilities. The government has also heavily invested in its CCTV monitoring system.”
