St Kitts and Nevis: To promote the skills and work of the local artists, the government of the twin-island Federation has announced that it will launch new television channels which run 24 hours.

The name of the newly established channel will be “MoENT TV”, as the Ministry of Entrepreneurship will manage it, Entertainment and Talent Development (MoENT).

The Minister for the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Entertainment and Talent Development has stated that this new channel will provide various opportunities to the local artists.

The minister further stated that the ministry is proud that it will be able to launch its own TV channel, which we are calling MoENT TV. She made this announcement at the Cabinet Press Conference held in the NEMA Conference Room on June 1, 2022 (Wednesday).

“The objective of the channel will be to showcase the local talent by providing free access to a platform which will air locally created creative content 24 by 7,” the ministry stated.

The channel line-up for the MoENT TV will be offered by The Cable, which is the main television cable provider in St Kitts.

“The authorities are working very closely with The Cable to make sure that this channel will not just reach locally, but it will also have reach nationally and internationally as well,” Byron-Nisbett outlined.

Furthermore, she stated that communication with some international providers has been in mid-way, and there are chances that commitment would be made to air the content from St Kitts and Nevis when it becomes available.
