Saint Lucia Tourism Authority to host the inaugural ‘Say Yes to Saint Lucia’ Global Romance Summit

Saint Lucia: The SLTA – Saint Lucia Tourism Authority will host the Inaugural ‘Say Yes to Saint Lucia’ Global Romance Summit from October 13th -17th, 2022.

Travel advisors from Saint Lucia’s top global markets are being welcomed to the destination along with leading publications Essence, Katie Couric Media, Weddings and Honeymoons Digital and Magazine, and The Grio.

The objective is for the participating travel trade to experience firsthand the full spectrum of the romantic offerings of the island to equip them in strongly recommending Saint Lucia for marriage proposals, destination weddings, a magically intimate vow renewal, adventurously romantic getaways, or honeymoons for which the destination is renowned.

A key component of the Global Summit is the Romance Breakfast, at which visiting and domestic travel trade partners will meet with the Minister of Tourism, Dr Ernest Hilaire, and participate in a cutting-edge Digital Strategy Engagement Workshop.

The Keynote address will be delivered by Global Speaking Fellow Alan Berg. He brings a wealth of market intelligence and sales strategy to the industry, having served in many roles, including Vice President of Sales for The Knot, WeddingPro educator, and was the wedding and event industry’s first Certified Speaking Professional. Alan Berg’s appearance at Saint Lucia’s Global Romance Summit is presented in association with the Wedding Booking app LOVU.

The trade partners will also participate in the Romance Showcase at the William J Clinton Ballroom at Sandals Grande Saint Lucian from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm on October 15, 2022. The Showcase is open to the general public and will give attendees the opportunity to interact directly with Romance Suppliers and Event Companies, experience new collections on the Fashion Runway, indulge in unique gift ideas and receive many prizes and surprises throughout the showcase. Attendees are invited to dress elegantly casually with a touch of pink in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

East Winds, Sandals Resorts, St James Club Morgan Bay, and Stolen Time by Rendezvous are among the 25 Villas and host hotels sponsoring the inaugural Say Yes to Saint Lucia Global Romance Summit. Additionally, industry partners will host the visiting trade to a variety of adventure and culinary experiences.
