Saint Lucia Sports Academy won the Secondary School Football Championship, which was held at SLFA Technical Centre on 22 November 2023.

Saint Lucia Sports Academy won the Secondary School Football Championship, which was held at SLFA Technical Centre on 22 November 2023.
Saint Lucia Sports Academy retained its title by defeating Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School with a score of 4-0 in the final.
The goal scorer from Saint Lucia Sports Academy:
– Dynamic Jaylan Beatle Benjamin scored one goal for his team.
– Rickelme Boughtus contributed two goals for his team.
– Edric Suplexx Popo also scored one goal for his team.
Thus, no player from Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School could score any goal for their team. Therefore, they lost by four goals.
Saint Lucia Sports Academy congratulated and thanked Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School for their remarkable game and for showcasing sportsmanship and skill on the field.
Saint Lucia Sports Academy also highlighted the tireless efforts of their Coaches, Binghi and Fifa to ensure that the team gets ready to put on their winning performances on the field.
Meanwhile, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School is the team that has reached the finals of this championship four times. This time, they won a silver medal and achieved the second spot.
So far, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School has three silver and one gold medal in their last four championship finals.
Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School stated their opposition team was not easy to play against. The males from Gros Islet played a good game that greatly challenged the Sulphur City boys. However, the game and the momentum of their opposition were too much for them to take advantage of any opportunity.
Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School also mentioned that they are proud of their team and gave immense commendations and credit to the young men of their team for their excellent performances.
Moreover, for the third place, the match was played between Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and St. Mary’s College. Sir Arthur Lewis Community College won the match. Sir Arthur Lewis Community College edged St. Mary’s College by three goals to 0.
Therefore, the bronze medal was won by Sir Arthur Lewis Community College.
Furthermore, Eymani Butcher was awarded the Most Valuable Player award in the tournament. The award for the most valuable player of the final was received by Rackelme Lionel.
Niyel Fontinelle won Best Defender and Kimarie John was honoured with the award of Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
