Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority – SLASPA has recently congratulated the winner of the Gimie award – Kervin Martial.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority – SLASPA has recently congratulated the winner of the Gimie award – Kervin Marshall. As per the update by the Authority, Martial has won an award for Port Employee of the Year.
The SLASPA shared the congratulations message through his social media account and wrote, “Congratulations to winner Kervin Marshall for receiving the first-ever Gimie award for Port employee of the year.”
The Authority responsible for the Air and Sea Ports of Saint Lucia mentioned that the ceremony was held by the Ministry of Tourism last night, April 23, 2023, and was the first of its kind.
Further, the Authority lauded the winner and mentioned, “Marshall has represented the authority well in his portrayal of what it is to be a proper custodian of the port, all while providing excellent customer service.”
In conclusion, the social media update read, “Customer service is paramount to us at SLASPA, as we are the first and last entry point for all tourists. Again, thank you, Kervin Marshall, for your excellent service.”
The Gimies Awards are one of the most regarded awards in the nation and have been named after Mount Gimie. It is worth noting that Mount Gimie is the highest peak in the country, standing at an elevation of 3,120 ft, and it is synonymous with reaching new heights, the pinnacle of excellence.
A tri-agency initiative, the Gimies, has been undertaken through the Ministry of Tourism with support from Saint Lucia Hospitality & Tourism Association and Saint Lucia Tourism Authority. The tourism industry is a quintessential economic driver for the country; as such, aligning the accolades which will be bestowed upon the nation’s best with the highest peak symbolises achievement at the highest level.
The Awards are geared towards all industry stakeholders and purposely spotlight the unsung heroes whose feats of incredulous service have all contributed to the numerous world accolades bestowed upon Saint Lucia.
