Castries, Saint Lucia: Castries-based organisation HelpAWS is looking for remote volunteers who can dedicate a few hours each week to help the organisation with social media outreach, interview foster applicants, and assist with booking flights. All of these play a huge role in helping the babies live and go to thrive, living the best possible life.
“Our volunteer team is so crucial and what makes it possible for us to do what we do. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to find homes for the animals we rescue, create engaging social media content, transport our rescued animals to North America, and get them the much-needed medical care they often require. We are beyond thankful to those who currently dedicate their time to help us- we hope they know how much we love and appreciate them,” the organisation mentioned.
HelpAWS added that sometimes, organisations get those who say they want to be involved (and we don’t doubt that they do), but when the rubber meets the road, few stick it out. It does take valuable time to screen and then train new volunteers, time that is devoted by other volunteers. It’s tough to spend that time onboarding and then have that person not show up. Animal welfare organisation further said that it understands that life is busy and things come up, but they want to make sure individual is truly committed.
In addition to this, the organisation mentioned that if you feel you can carve a few hours out of your week to do something meaningful and lasting, which will also give you a sense of purpose and immense satisfaction, and you are a reliable, passionate, hardworking animal lover – we’d love to hear from you!
“Go to www.helpaws.com/volunteer to complete a volunteer application. One of our team will reach out to the individual to discuss the different roles and to mutually determine where your skillset and availability can be most useful. We anticipate to welcome you into the extended HelpAWS family,” HelpAWS mentioned while concluding the message.
