Saint Lucia: Arnel St Rose murderers denied bail by court
Following this arrest, both were presented before the Magistrate’s Court for bail on September 5, 2023.

                                                    Castries, Saint Lucia: The Royal Saint Lucia Police has got a lead into the murder case of Arnel St Rose of Grace Vieux-Fort on August 30, 2023. Following this arrest, both were presented before the Magistrate’s Court for bail on September 5, 2023. Their bail request was rejected, and they were remanded into custody, according to the preliminary information by the Royal Police.
According to the investigation update shared by the police officers, they arrested two persons who have been charged with the murder. The boys were arrested during a search operation. The Police have claimed that the boys were identified as eighteen (18)-year-old Quamy Felix of Anse Ger, Desruisseaux and a seventeen (17)-year-old male juvenile.
Both the arrestees have received a separate charge for the offence of Possession of Ammunition.
Reportedly, the two were on the run after committing the murder of Arnel St. Rose on August 25, 2023 (Friday). The Police were informed about the incident at about 4:54 in the evening; Micoud Police Station got a call and registered a case of shooting at Ville-Paix.
The Saint Lucia Royal Police instantly reached the spot and recovered the motionless body of St. Rose. The dead body was found at the sides of a concrete road, with apparent wounds.
According to the update by the Police, the body was taken for autopsy on August 29, 2023. The post-mortem examination reports informed the Police that the victim lost his life because of multiple gunshot wounds on the body.
Along with this, the Police stated that amid the search, it was discovered that the persons had six rounds of 9 mm ammunition, which were seized by the officers (post-discovery).
In concluding, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force extended its gratitude towards the general public of the island nation for their cooperation and urged them to continue supporting the organisation.
It further assured that the Police Force is always available to serve the people of Saint Lucia and will be a call away.
