Russia: Women across Russia are wearing red to demonstrate their support for Alexei Navalny’s wife. Alexei Navalny is an opposition leader who was jailed in prison this week.
The rage of Red initiated after 44 years old Yulia Navalnaya, who wore a red top during her husband, was sentenced to two years and eight months in a penal colony.
A demonstration of peaceful protest on social media was initiated by a girl named called Katya Fedorova. She is a fashion writer, and she used her skills to demonstrate her way of supporting Alexei Navalny’s wife.
Katya Fedorova posted a picture in red clothes. She wrote, “Today I am in Red as a sign of support for Yulia Navalnaya, as well as all those detained and convicted for not being afraid to express their views, their wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, relatives, and friends. We are with you and ready to help.”
Other women and men have given a supportive response to this post. Enormous followers on Instagram supported her. It seems like there is a peaceful and smart protest going on social media.
It’s not just about the protest, but it displays the unity between this generation willing to fight the evils. They are rectifying the odds of the nation while protesting in such a strategic manner.
This world needs peace, but the leaders are not following the path of democracy. If we talk about India, there was a shutdown of the internet for the protesters and even barricades to stop them.
Social media is playing a significant role in becoming the voice of the voiceless. People were complaining that how can we support our protesters, and here we are!
Social media platforms became a common ground for all. This is the path to democracy nowadays. All information is reaching the homes of people who can be aware of the happenings and violations of Human Rights in any nation.
