PM Terrance Drew visits Taiwan to celebrate long-lasting relations
With a vision of promoting long-lasting friendship and enhancing relations with Taiwan, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew visited the nation on Saturday.

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: With a vision of promoting long-lasting friendship and enhancing relations with Taiwan, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew visited the nation on Saturday. His visit aimed on exploring new avenues for cooperation and exchanging significant dialogues and ideas on strategies that can benefit both Taiwan and St. Kitts and Nevis.
PM Drew stated that these crucial relations between both nations have always turned out to be a huge pillar of strength for the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. He noted that this diplomatic relation has brought several practical and tangible solutions, which have played a huge role in addressing all the problems and challenges that the island nation has faced.
During his visit to Taiwan, PM Terrance Drew addressed everyone and extended gratitude for their friendship and the unwavering support they have extended to St. Kitts and Nevis in helping them lead towards international development.
During his address, he also mentioned the strong and fruitful relations that both the countries have developed since the independence of St. Kitts and Nevis in 1983.

He emphasised that since then, Taiwan has always been at the forefront in addressing the pressing issues of St. Kitts and Nevis. He stated that with the support from Taiwan, the health, economics, agriculture, industry and culture department of St. Kitts and Nevis has elevated to greater heights.
PM Drew also recalled his previous visit to Taiwan in 2022 and shed light on his commitment to deepen their relations and learning from the rich experience of Taiwan in building a resilient and dynamic economy. The leader of the nation also exchanged several dialogues and held productive interactions with the officials from Taiwan in order to bring prosperity and growth to both the nations.
This visit to Taiwan from 20th June to 27th June 2027 is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of the St. Kitts and Nevis authorities towards enhancing their relations and leading both the countries towards development.
The delegates who are currently in Taiwan includes, Diani Prince-Drew; Senior Minister, Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Premier Mark Brantley, Dr. Marcus Natta, Cabinet Secretary, Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Frank Laws, Special Envoy for Healthcare and Sherema Matthew, Director of the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS).
