PM Terrance Drew held meeting at NEMA to review response measures against Hurricane Beryl
Dr. Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis held an emergency meeting at the National Emergency Management Agency.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr. Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis held an emergency meeting at the National Emergency Management Agency. The meeting was conducted with the objective of discussing several measures to be undertaken in order to prevent the citizens from the harmful destruction caused by Hurricane Beryl.
This meeting at NEMA is also a collective response to Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency member states that are being affected by Beryl. Also, PM Drew exchanged several significant dialogues on St Kitts and Nevis readiness for this predicted behaviour.
The leader of the nation stated that as of now by God’s grace, the island nation is not under any threat of Hurricane Beryl but still he asked all the citizens to be vigilant and listen to all the updates, ensuring the protection from any future uncertainty.
Also, PM Drew extended support to the Caribbean nations who have faced huge destruction and devastation following the passage of Hurricane Beryl. Hurricane Beryl caused landfall and immense damage in Grenada, Petite Martinique, and Carriacou. It has also resulted in causing huge devastation to St Vincent and the Grenadines, particularly Union Island which has also led to the death of one individual.
PM Drew noted that St Kitts and Nevis continue to stand with their regional brothers and sisters. He stated that he would make all the possible efforts in order to provide the required resources to the affected island nations. He remarked that helping their neighbours in these difficult times is a testament to their unwavering commitment and dedication towards enhancing their relations and fostering brotherhood and unity among all the Caribbean regions.
He asserted that this was a time for them to band closer together as a Caribbean community and show Caribbean unity. “We fully commit to assisting with recovery efforts,” noted Dr. Terrance Drew.
Moreover, the leader of the nation also added that the sister islands can be assured of the support and solidarity of the Government and the people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. He further mentioned that the Heads of the Government will also convene an emergency meeting in order to discuss Hurricane Beryl.
