PM Gaston Browne unveils agenda for infrastructural development 2024
The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne spoke about the administration’s agenda for 2024 about water production, road repairs and agriculture in his new year’s address.

Antigua and Barbuda: The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne spoke about the administration’s agenda for 2024 about water production, road repairs and agriculture in his new year’s address.
While delivering a New Year’s message to the country, the Prime Minister promised to make investments in water production in the region this year. The pledge he took stated the government’s clear determination for the welfare of the country.
In his address, he added that the Government is concerned about the water supply issues in the region and is completely dedicated to providing solutions to it. Also, he ensured that this year, the work done for the welfare of the society would include water production, road repairs and agricultural development, which would further allow the population of the country to lead a better life.
Moreover, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda has also planned to put forth additional investments aiming at increasing the reliability of water production and distribution in the year 2024. Further, Prime Minister Gaston Browne added that the staff at Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has already been informed about the projections and the decided standards of the Government.
He further shed light on the difference he has outlined to make in 2024 and mentioned that 2024 must be full of exciting achievements. To this, he also added about the 4th SIDS Conference.
Considerably, the 4th Small Island Developing States (SIDS) International Conference is to be held in Antigua and Barbuda in May 2024, where the international community will get together to review Small Island Developing States.
Also, several Cricket World Cup matches will be held in the region, the PM outlined. Extending this, he said that there would be nine international matches held in the region, which would involve the teams from Britain, Australia and West Indies.
The PM also highlighted that all the events which are to be hosted in the country in 2024 will provide several opportunities to the residents of Antigua and Barbuda.
