The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, asked nationals across the nation to apply for the Children’s Assistance Fund. This appeal has been made by PM Drew through his official social media handle. It is to be noted that the Children’s Assistance Fund will support children who are in need of urgent medical assistance, abroad.

While taking it to his official social media handle, PM Drew said, “Greetings, Just a friendly reminder: If you know of any child who is in need of medical care abroad, as indicated by their doctor, please apply to the children’s assistance fund.”

It is to be further added that the Children’s Assistance Fund is an initiative undertaken by the government with the motive of providing financial help and support to children who are seeking medical care and attention. The main focus of this initiative is to promote the physical and mental well-being of the children by providing them with the best possible healthcare amenities.

Notably, the commencement of the Children’s Assistance Fund was made during a press conference in October 2022, where PM Drew shared his vision of enhancing the healthy lifestyle among the citizens of the island nation.

Along with that, the administration of PM Terrance Drew has always been committed towards their goal of promoting a better healthcare system. In its recent example, the government of St Kitts and Nevis funded the entire treatment of a child who travelled to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados to undergo 10 months of chemotherapy and other medical attention.

Moreover, the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis appreciated the government for the initiative they took, prioritizing the enhancement of the health of the nationals.

Meanwhile, the residents extended their gratitude through their comments on Facebook. One citizen with a Facebook account, Rosa America Castillo Ferrera, commented, “Exact, my dream came true for the children of St Kitts; God continue to bless you, Dr Terrance Drew.”

Another person with a Facebook handle, Shelly Balkaran, commented the following: “This is really outstanding; bless you always. I know the struggle parents and family members go through when you are in this situation.”

Such steps taken by the government shed light on the unwavering commitment and dedication of the PM Terrance Drew-led administration towards boosting the health sector of the country.
