PM Drew commits to improve JNF Hospital infrastructure and facilities

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Terrance Drew is delighted to announce the government of the twin-island Federation has collaborated with local contractors and ROC (Taiwan) to enhance the JNF hospital and address the problem of roof leakage at the hospital.

The government and the Ministry of Health are working tirelessly to improve the infrastructure and facilities provided by the Joseph N. France General Hospital (JNF), and these remarkable improvements will bring relief to the people.

It is worth noting that PM Drew took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share information about his ongoing projects with the public.

“For many years the JNF roof has been leaking and to end this situation we have collaborated with local contractors and ROC (Taiwan). We will bring relief”, he added.

The leader of St Kitts and Nevis has always remained focused and committed to the country’s health sector. He has been directly involved in the progress that the hospital has made in the short span of time.

Recently, JNF Hospital received an Electroencephalography (EEG) machine in January, which was very important, especially when a number of people were suffering from neurological diseases.

Now, EEG machine enables accurate diagnosis and foster better treatment of the patient.

Last year, the JNF hospital achieved the feat of 70 cataract surgeries with new equipment received from the government in collaboration with PAHO. With the help of such surgical tools, cataract surgery can be completed within 15-20 minutes.

Another FB user by the name of Naomi Warde commented, “I only wish we could see much more of these good news about the Federation instead of all the negative propaganda that puts the country in negative light. Keep up the good works Rome was not built in a day. In due (Drew) time we will get them done.”
