OECS to commemorate 42nd anniversary in St Kitts and Nevis
St Kitts and Nevis to host the 42nd anniversary of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis to host the 42nd anniversary of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). The event will be celebrated in the Federation from June 13 to 19, 2023, under the theme “Vision. Integration. Sustainability. Progress.”
During the commemoration of the celebrations, St Kitts and Nevis will host several activities, which are;
From June 13 to 16
School Tour – OECS in the classroom
To mark this, OECS for Saint Kitts and Nevis, Ambassador Larry Vaughan, and Head of Communications for the OECS, Loverly Anthony, will visit the primary schools across the Federation. She will be sharing detailed information about the working of OECS and its part.
June 15
Live panel discussion
ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation platforms will air a panel discussion. The host of the discussion will be lawyer and Regional Integrationist – Vadeesha John-Brookes, and the panellist will be Director-General of the OECS, Dr Didacus Jules; Ambassador Larry Vaughan; Banking Consultant and OECS Integrationist Frances-Ann Satney; and St Kitts National Youth Parliament (SKNYPA) Youth Representative, Kara Daly-Ferdinand.

OECS Colours Day
The members of the OECS States will wear OECS flag-coloured clothes, showing their support and pride for the OECS Integration Movement.
June 17
OECS Fun Walk
On Saturday, Fun Walk will be organised under the sponsorship by The Cable, St Kitts-Nevis Anguilla National Bank and the Carib Brewery. The walk will start at 6 in the morning from the Caribbean Cinemas parking lot and will end on Frigate Bay Lawn.
June 18
Flag Raising Ceremony
OECS Flag Raising Ceremony will be organised on Saturday at 4 pm. The attendees of the event will be Prime Minister – Dr Terrance Drew; Minister of Foreign Affairs – Dr Denzil Douglas; Director General of the OECS – Dr Didacus Jules and Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) – Timothy Antoine.
Opening Ceremony of the 73rd Meeting of the OECS
After the Flag Raising Ceremony, the Opening Ceremony of the 73rd Meeting of the OECS will be hosted at 5 in the evening at ECCB.
June 25
Thanksgiving
The activities will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service in Saint Lucia at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Castries.
