Roseau, Dominica: Tourism of Dominica is widely known and with each passing day, worldwide appreciations are adding more to it are making it even more popular. With this, the list of achievements as well is taking an upsurge. Fort Young Hotel and Secret Bay this year got nominated in the Caribbean Green Awards.

“Help show the world that the “Nature Island” and its tourism entities are at the forefront of sustainability by casting your vote,” mentioned Discover Dominica, one of the tourism promoting social media handles.

The voting lines are open till April 20, 2024. Discover Dominica has extended an appeal to the people of the country to show love to the wonderful country by giving votes. It as well has added the procedure to vote.

This follows; first one should visit the site, add your email address and select Secret Bay in the category of the sustainable hotel of the year or select Fort Young Hotel in the category of green all-inclusive resort of the year.

Interestingly, Gregor Nassief is a hotelier from Dominica. He is the man behind Secret Bay. To vote for him, the procedure is the same just on question 5 it is mentioned. On question 3 and 4, there is the mention of Secret Bay and Fort Young Hotel respectively.

The Caribbean Green Awards celebrates the people, places and projects that are making an impact on the lasting future of the Caribbean region. It features how tourism destinations are putting the sustainable movement at the forefront, to the various developments that are reinventing the way we think about construction, design and energy.

Considerably, both the hotels nominated, Fort Young Hotel and Secret Bay have been recognized so many times. This year(2024), in the month of January, these both were recognized in Caribbean Journal. Under this, there were 25 hotels recognized and Fort Young was at the topmost place among them.

Not only this, Gregor Nassief, a nominated hotelier as well, was featured in the thought leadership series which was by Caribbean Airlines. The series highlighted two Dominican Entrepreneurs, and the other one who got featured is Sam Raphel. He is the owner of Jungle Bay.

Such a feature even presents a clearer idea of the widely known eco-tourism of the country, Dominica.
