US Charge d'Affaires Premont visits Spouse of Prime Minister for courtesy call on Ann Marie Davis

Bahamas: US Charge d’Affaires Bridget Premont paid a special visit to the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister for a courtesy call on Ann Marie Davis, wife of Prime Minister Philip Davis, on March 29, 2022 (Tuesday).

The visit was in support of Kendra Bowe, an alumna of the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), who was a part of a group of alumni from around the world to receive a grant through the US Department of State’s Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF).

At the meeting, Bowe was accompanied by program facilitators and local high school students that participated in the focus group discussions.

For the AEIF, the alumni-led an ambitious multi-country virtual awareness campaign, with workshops that began last fall and will conclude next week, April 5 – April 8. The campaign focuses on youth empowerment and addresses social issues like gender-based violence.

Charge Premont got an opportunity to share with Davis some of the ways in which the strong bilateral relationship between the Bahamas and the United States continues, including through exchange programs like the IVLP.

The Virtual AEIF Summit will close out next week at the American Corner in the Harry C. Moore Library.
