Trinidad and Tobago: Two Charged and Two Others Held for Firearm-Related Offences
Two men are expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate, charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and robbery with aggravation on March 31.

Trinidad and Tobago: Two men are expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate, charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and robbery with aggravation, today, on March 31, 2022.
Solomon Harrigin, 27-year-old, of St James, and Nikolai MC Intosh, 19-year-old of Port of Spain, were charged with the offenses after officers arrested them following a report of a robbery with aggravation in the Curepe district on March 24, 2022 (Tuesday).
Officers alleged that at the time of the arrest, they seized one Glock 17 pistol loaded with a magazine, which had 15 rounds of ammunition, from the accused and recovered a stolen Toyota Hilux, taken from its owner 25 minutes earlier.
The charges were laid by WPC Cooper of the Morvant Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and PC St. Clair of the Northern Division.
In a separate incident, officers of the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and officers of the Central Division Task Force, Area North, and the Chaguanas Chargeroom conducted an exercise around 5 pm on March 30, 2022 (Wednesday), in the Enterprise district.
During the exercise, the officers proceeded to Bynoe Trace Extension, where they executed a search warrant at a house with a male and female occupant. The search resulted in officers finding a Ruger pistol loaded with one magazine containing 22 rounds of ammunition. The police arrested the couple in connection with the find.
Police has stated that the investigations are ongoing.
