Trinidad and Tobago: The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) extend condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of No. 10372 PC Kareem Omar Charles, lovingly known as ‘Powers,’ who passed away on Saturday 27th March 2022.

PC Charles enlisted in the Trinidad and Tobago Service on 28th November 2019, where he served for just over two years as a Special Reserve Officer.

‘Powers’ will be remembered by his colleagues at the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch for his resilience and an optimistic attitude. Snr Superintendent (Ag) Wayne Mystar recalled that the officer exemplified these traits when he dominated and successfully completed a challenging and grueling survival training course while maintaining a positive attitude and showing exemplary behaviour. Snr Supt Mystar stated, “He always saw the brighter side of life.”

The Police Service has also remembered him as “a Shy, Yet Resilient and Optimistic Officer.”

His colleagues expressed resounding grief as they lamented his passing.

PC Charles leaves to mourn his mother, siblings, and fiancée.

“Gone too soon, PC Kareem Omar Charles,” TTPS concluded.
