Trinidad and Tobago: Around 248 test COVID-19 positive while 11 die in a single day
Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 248 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 10 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago have recorded 248 new positive cases of the COVID-19 mutant on 10 October 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.
With the arrival of these cases, the active number of coronavirus infections increase to 4,387. In contrast, a total of 46,790 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 mutant.
In total, around 265 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 11 new deaths have been recorded, taking the total death rate to 1,551 on the Caribbean island as of 10 October 2021.
As per the Health Ministry’s report, there are a total of 55 patients in the step-down facilities, about 107 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities.
A total of 3,819 individuals have isolated themselves at their homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 52,728 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 361,239 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a total of 152,796 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
As of 7 October 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 596,696 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 546,532 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
