St Peter’s Festival kicks off successfully, celebrating togetherness of Constituency #8
St Peter’s Festival, a celebration of Constituency #8 commenced last weekend.

St Peter’s Festival, a celebration of Constituency #8 which commenced last weekend has been earning humongous attention from the local citizens and travellers, commemorating the vibrant culture and traditions of the island nation.
The celebration started on 5th October with the Festival Opening & Family Food Fair on the Atiba Harris Sporting Complex which brought several families, friends and individuals together to compete in 10 thrilling activities for just $20 per group.
The festival started with an action-packed lineup including 100M Race, 4-Legged Race, 3-Legged Race, Wheelbarrow Race, Lime and Spoon, Dog and Bone, Drinking Contest, Bun Eating Contest, Tug of War, Boom in the Middle and many more.
This celebration of the entire constituency will continue to take place till 27th October, 2024 under the theme “One Community Moving with Togetherness.” This theme aims to bring all the people from different ages to celebrate, enjoy, play and laugh together as one community.
Moreover, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew also visited his Constituency and celebrated the festival. While sharing the glimpses, he stated that he had declared the St Peter’s Festival open over the weekend.
He added that he contributes significantly to this festival every year, celebrating talent, skills of local citizens. This cultural extravaganza seeks to bring the great state of St Peter’s together to celebrate diverse activities, their brotherhood, love and unity.
The Prime Minister also extended gratitude to all the committee members for their unwavering dedication and hard work towards making the festival, a success event.
Also, the Constituency #8 inaugurated the launch of the 7V7 football league on 8th October, 2024. It is a competition between 8 teams who are showing up their colours, bringing all the energy to win the competition and the prize money of $1500.
The next day, the community opened the St. Peter’s Festival T10 Cricket Softball Tournament. This competition is all about the pitch-perfect moments, catching good vibes, and hitting boundaries while making memories. The winner of this tournament will also receive $1500 as the grand prize.
This festival is overall a celebration of the people living in the community and celebrating their togetherness.

- 19th October: Jouvert Morning
- 25th October: Frieye Concert
- 26th October: Parade Day and After Party
- 27th October: Miss St. Peter’s Queen Pageant
