St Lucia: St Lucia received Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccines from Barbados and Dominica.
Prime Minister of St Lucia, Allen Chastanet, wrote on the official post of Facebook, “Our COVID-19 Response literally got a shot in the arm today as we welcomed the arrival of 3,000 doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccines.”
Furthermore, Prime Minister of St Lucia, Allen Chastanet, added, “Our gratitude goes out to the Government of Barbados, who distributed 1,000 doses, as well as to the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, who donated 2,000 doses.”
Additionally, given that the Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccine is distributed in 2 doses, this will allow the government of St Lucia to immunize 1,500 frontline workers, which include medical personnel, paramedics, police, fire, and correctional officers.
St Lucia is in crisis, and people are scared. People of St Lucia were disappointed by the management of the current government.
On the other hand, Dominica and Barbados both received jabs of Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccines from India.
Barbados also donated their first consignment of Oxford AstraZeneca Vaccines to Guyana.
A resident of St Lucia commented, “Thanks to the government and people of Barbados and Dominica for their kind gesture, It’s a start, A little goes a long way.”
Another Facebook user commented, “Thank God. Thank you, PM of Barbados and Dominica, for sharing the Vaccine with the Government of St. Lucia. Each one helps one goes a long way. Blessings. Yes, we can, Yes we will.”
Another Facebook user wrote, “Thank you to my Prime Minister for donating some of the Az to Saint Lucia. Dominica is a sacred place, and so is Saint Lucia, Barbados, and the rest of our Caribbean. These are times where our nations must stand together as one, be stronger and keep hope alive, amen.”
Another citizen wrote, “Thanks to Barbados and Dominica, for their kind gestures.”
