St. Kitts to experience another Organic Market, aimed at promoting local produce

St. Kitts and Nevis: St. Kitts is all set to experience another Organic Market on May 5^th, Sunday. The Gideon Force Organic Farm will enthusiastically host one more organic market in the ongoing series of offering people with the knowledge of adopting organic and local produce.

The venue to shop local and organic products and grab awareness about organic farming will be Gideon Force Organic Farm, Wingfield Mountain, Old Road. The timing for the same will be from 2:00PM up till 9:00 PM.  The farm has a vision to promote sustainable agricultural practices by letting people enjoy the best produce that is free from chemicals and at an affordable price point.

This time, Gideon Force Organic Farm will celebrate Ethiopian Victory Day with the august gathering. This day commemorates the role played by the brave Ethiopian soldiers during the Italo-Ethiopian War. The Gideon Force Organic Farm works on the motto of Naturally and organically grown food for a healthier way of life.

The organic farm that will be waiting for the residents of St. Kitts will follow the theme of “The Development of Agriculture – For the Protection of the Life and Resources of Our People.” The farmers and sellers work with a mindset to provide people with best and organic things, also by saving the natural resources for the upcoming generation rather than degrading it.

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Marine Resources St Kitts shared this information through their social media handle. This showcases that the government is extremely supportive of the local and small businesses and farmers. All the promote are good causes and something that would add value to the life of the residents of the island nation.

This event will also feature several vendors selling products including organic produce, crafts, crochet items, honey, natural skincare and agro-processed items. Also, to keep the visitors entertained various activities will be conducted, keeping in mind people of all the ages.

Activities like Poetry recitation, Speeches, showcasing performances, Games, and Drumming will keep the visitors gelled throughout their shopping spree.

Also, varieties of organic Food stalls offering scrumptious yet healthy food and drinks will be waiting for the people to have a taste of healthy yet delicious food.

To experience all this a minimal admission fee of $5 will be charged. Such events are worth the time and money as they have a motive to provide people with a value that they can continue to use and be benefitted from it.
