St Kitts and Nevis welcomes 3 flights, boosts tourism and connectivity

Three aircrafts landed at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport of St Kitts and Nevis over the past few days. The arrival of these aircrafts marks a massive boost in the development of the airlift sector and enhances their air connectivity.

While welcoming all these aircrafts, the tourism minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson, stated that the increased frequency of these flights shed light on the growing importance of the airport as a hub in the region.

Notably, American Airlines 318 (A321neo) and American Airlines 2152 (737-800) both running very late from Miami landed at the airport on Saturday. They would later depart back to International Airport of Miami in about 10 minutes apart.

Following that, the Mighty British Airways 777-200 powered by the two massive General Electric GE-90 engines also made its presence felt at the airport of St Kitts and Nevis. It was later departed to Antigua via taxiway alpha on the short hop.

The influx of flights from airlines like American Airlines and British Airways is anticipated to play a huge role in travelling vast options for both locals and visitors. It will directly result in benefitting the tourism sector of the country, enhancing economic conditions of the nation.

This continuous growth and improved connectivity will also play a significant role in enhancing air connectivity and relations with other Caribbean regions, establishing St. Kitts and Nevis as a premier destination for both international and Caribbean travellers.

Also, American Airlines has been playing a significant role in enhancing travel options for visitors travelling to St Kitts and Nevis. Recently, as per the data unveiled by the authorities, 6753 passengers have arrived in the island nation via American Airlines.

  • Daily Flight Services with Flight AA 318 from Jan 2023-Dec 2024
  • Double Daily Flight Services with Flight AA 2440 from 19 Dec 2024 – 3rd April 2025
  • Two flights on Saturdays with Flight AA 2294 from 6th April to 31st August 2024 and 7th to 14th December 2024

From Charlotte

  • It offers weekly flight services on Saturday with AA 319 from 17th Feb to 31st August 2024 and will also offer from 9th Nov 2024 – 29th March 2025

From New York

  • It offers weekly flight services on Saturday with AA 2558 from 11th Nov 2023 to 31st August 2024 and will offer from 9th Nov 2024 – 29th March 2025.

British Airways

From London

  • It offers services twice in a week i.e. on Wednesday and Saturday with Flight BA 2157 from 3rd April – 26th October 2024.
  • It will also offer services from 29th October 2024 to 29th March 2025 with Flight BA 2157. These services will be provided twice in a day i.e. on Tuesday and Saturday.
