St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew tours Medicinal Cannabis Farm in St Vincent, praises industry progress

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrance Drew, shared an update regarding his tour of the CANNA SVG Medicinal Cannabis Farm in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

As per the government of St Kitts and Nevis, the visit was organised during the visit of PM Drew to the neighbouring Caribbean country of St Vincent.

The Prime Minister of the Federation has highlighted that he is amazed by the handling of the Cannabis Industry for medical uses by the government of St Vincent and the Grenadines. He further outlined, “I am impressed by the work they are doing there with the Cannabis Industry.”

Prime Minister Dr Drew took to social media to share his experience in the host country.

He noted, “Earlier today, I was given a tour of the CANNA SVG Medicinal Cannabis Farm in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. This specialist medical-grade cannabis manufacturer utilises industry-leading technologies with in-depth expertise to produce high-quality medical cannabis.”

Furthermore, he also informed the general public that he was also invited to attend a special programme by the Ministry of Agriculture of St Vincent and the Grenadines. The theme of the event was “Improving Vegetable Cultivation Management and Post-harvest Handling Project,” as per the official update.

“I was also invited to a special event hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture dubbed “Improving Vegetable Cultivation Management and Post-harvest Handling Project” and asked on the spot to give brief remarks,” the official post by PM Drew mentioned.

He added that, of course, he obliged and impressed upon the Ministry his pleasure to be able to witness the great work they are doing there in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and his appreciation of the hospitality offered.

While expressing his gratitude and thankfulness, the PM extended his pleasure towards the government and authorities of St Vincent and the Grenadines. “It has indeed been a very productive visit thus far,” he mentioned.

Prime Minister Terrance Drew landed in St Vincent and the Grenadines on August 25, 2023. He headed straight to his meeting with members of the Cabinet, Montgomery Daniel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Works, Land and Surveys and Physical Planning, and Keisal Peters, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
