St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew-led administration reaches Taiwan on November 7

St Kitts and Nevis: The delegation of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis has arrived in Taiwan. The delegation, which is led by Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, landed at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on November 7, 2022 (Monday) in Taipei.

According to the government of St Kitts and Nevis, the Dr Drew-led delegation will have a 4-day visit, leaving the nation on November 5. The trip has been considered the inaugural trip of Prime Minister Drew to Taiwan. The government of the Federation has been anticipating that this trip will strengthen the 40 years long relationship, diplomatic ties and cooperation between St Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan.

The Prime Minister of the Federation has been accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Denzil Douglas; Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley; Deputy Premier of Nevis, Alexis Jeffers; Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Climate Action, and Constituency Empowerment, Senator Joyelle Clarke; Junior Minister with responsibility for the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Social Development, Gender Affairs, Aging and Disabilities, Senator Isalean Phillip; Member of Parliament in the Nevis Island Assembly, Cleone Stapleton-Simmonds; Senior Assistant Secretary, Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister, Samuel Berridge; Personal Assistant to the Prime Minister, Hazel Jeffers and Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Michael Chau-Horng Lin.

As per the government of the country, between November 7 and November 11, the minister-led delegation will meet various ministers of the Republic of China, including the president of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Dr Tsai Ing-wen, Foreign Minister Dr Jaushieh Joseph Wu and the minister of Mainland Affairs Tai-sun Chiu. Along with this, the premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Tseng-chang Su.

St Kitts and Nevis delegation will conclude their visit and return to the Federation on November 11, 2022.
