Antigua and Barbuda’s bilateral relation with China:
Antigua and Barbuda and the Republic of China share diplomatic relations from January 1, 1983, less than two years after the Caribbean nation’s independence, under Deng Xiaoping and Prime Minister Vere Bird, respectively. China has supported Antigua and Barbuda’s bid to join the United Nations, and the relationship between both countries has been smooth since the beginning.
Both the countries have been witnessing the construction of much infrastructural upliftment through this bilateral relationship. It is believed that a number of projects have been undertaken in Antigua and Barbuda through bilateral investment.
