The Whitsuntide weekend is all set to kick off in Saint Lucia with the Masters Football Invitational Tournament which has been scheduled to take place from 16th May to 20th May 2024.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Whitsuntide weekend is all set to kick off in Saint Lucia with the Masters Football Invitational Tournament which has been scheduled to take place from 16th May to 20th May 2024. Four games will be conducted on the first day of the tournament at the Dennery Playing Field, offering memorable and enjoyable experience to all the visitors.
The event will be conducted under the theme “Journey to Greatness” which offers a great platform to the athletes to showcase their sheer skills, determination and dedication towards the game.
The tournament will be played between the players aged above 40 and 50. By hosting such tournaments, the authorities focus on increasing and enhancing confidence of the people as well as providing them an opportunity to display their skills, abilities and techniques.
Tournament fixtures for 50+
On Thursday
The first game will be conducted between Dennery United Football Club and Labowi Connexions at 5 pm.
The second game has been scheduled to take place between Gros Islet Legends and CARICOM Masters at 6 pm.
Tournament fixtures for 40+
On Thursday
Mon Repos Sharks will face V Fort North/DX United at 7 pm.
Micoud Falcons will compete against Vieux Fort South at 8 pm.
The breath-taking views, ice cold beers and mouth-watering food, the exciting night life, there’s something for everyone in Saint Lucia. As per the details, the Sab Sporting facility, the Corinth Playing Field and the Dennery Playing Field will host this Whitsuntide weekend, promises to offer seamless and unforgettable experience to all the athletes and spectators.
The local teams will battle against teams from Canada, the USA and the other Caribbean islands as they are seeking to dethrone two-times champions, Gros Islet Veterans as they go for the three pieces.
Moreover, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority is also excited and proud to collaborate with Veterans In Sports Incorporation. The partners of this tournament include, Blueprint Group Inc, Caribbean Alliance Insurance Company Ltd, VIVA, JP. Chenet, KFC, Chairman’s Reserve RUM, Flow, RJB Hotel Supplies, Turbo.
