Saint Lucia, Castries: Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Philip J Pierre expresses pleasure over hosting a football tournament for the last 24 years in Castries East between Arundel Hill vs the Boulevard.

He took to his official social media and highlighted, “Enjoying the finals between Arundel Hill vs the Boulevard of the Philip J Pierre Football Tournament in Castries East, which I have had the pleasure of hosting for the last 24 years.”

He congratulated the team of Rockhall on securing third place and said, “May the best team win.”

Along with this, Philip J Pierre shared an update in which he had the honour of paying tribute to the ex-service members of World War II at the annual Remembrance Day Ceremonies.

This day is marked as Memorial Day, which is observed in Commonwealth member states from the date since the end of World War I to celebrate the day for the members of the armed forces who fought in the line of duty and died.

He gladly expressed, “Today I had the honour of paying tribute to the ex-servicemen of World War II at the annual Remembrance Day Ceremonies.”

Wreaths were laid at the Cenotaph at Derek Walcott Square, the George the V Park and the Commonwealth War Graves at the Choc Cemetery. Prime Minister of Saint Lucia stated, “May we always remember.”
