Saint Lucia : Ministry of Commerce shares office closure plan
The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer affairs of Saint Lucia shared a notice that the ministry’s main office which is located on the 4th floor, Heraldine Rock Building, Waterfront, Castries will be closed from Wednesday, 3rd January 2024 to Friday 5th January 2024.

Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs shared a notice that the ministry’s main office, which is located on the 4th floor of Geraldine Rock Building, Waterfront, Castries, will be closed from Wednesday, 3rd January 2024 to Friday 5th January 2024. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate a deep cleaning exercise.
Notably, this sanitization and deep cleaning exercise is aimed at enhancing the safety and comfort of our valued staff, clients and other stakeholders. The office will resume its operation on Monday, 8th January, 2024.
Moreover, it was also shared by the Ministry that approval of licences and 19:01 forms will be done at the Consumer Affairs Department. The department is located at the corner of the Micoud and Coral Streets.
The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience that this closure may cause. It was also mentioned by them that they will look forward and continue to serve the residents of the nation in the new year.

It is to be noted the last time, the main office of the Ministry located at the same place was closed from Tuesday, 21st February 2023, to Friday, 24th February 2023 to facilitate deep cleaning exercise. The normal operations of the office were resumed on Monday, 27th February 2023.
Furthermore, the mission of the Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs is “to enhance and facilitate in close collaboration with the private sector, the establishment of dynamic investment and trading business, which anticipates changes in global circumstances.”
It also focuses on “strengthening and enhancing the productive capacities and competitiveness of Industry and commerce, which will encourage good business practices and promote consumer interest.”
