Castries, Saint Lucia: Roston Chase is all set to take on the leadership role for Cricket West Indies A squad in the upcoming T20 series against Nepal. The series will run from 25th April to 15th May 2024 and promises to offer a thrilling and exciting experience to all the spectators.

The selector of the West Indies Cricket, Desmond Haynes highlighted Chase’s consistency and praised his leadership skills. He said that the player has displayed some impressive work over the past few years and expressed his faith in the leadership skills. He further said the management is optimistic that the team will perform really well under his captaincy.

It is also a great opportunity for the player to display his good game and leadership skills so that he can also be considered in the list of world cup squad.

“Since the time Chase has made his T20I debut in October 2021, for the team against Bangladesh he has continued to make considerable strides,” noted Desmond Haynes.

He further added that this tour to Nepal will play a crucial role in the preparatory phase for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. This tour will offer several opportunities for the selectors to have a look at the performance of emerging players who are not competing in the Indian Premier League.

Floyd Reifer has been named the team’s Head Coach, and Rayon Griffith has been selected as the Assistant Coach for the series.
