Grenada: Official tourism account of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, Pure Grenada shared a glimpse of the Maurice Bishop International Airport, which witnessed the standing of five (5) international aircraft.
The tourism account further expressed pride that their current international capacity exceeds the capacity of the 2019 banner year.

The happy post by Pure Grenada read, “What a beautiful sight to see five international aircraft sitting on the tarmac at Maurice Bishop International Airport, and a proud day when we can confirm that our current international capacity is fully back and even exceeds the 2019 banner year capacity.”
Additionally, the official tourism account expressed gratitude towards the tourism workers, especially the authority from the airport, for working days and nights. “Pure Grenada would like to say the heartiest thank you to all tourism workers, especially the airport team, who give tirelessly to ensure the success of this critical industry, and to all our airline partners, we thank you for your continued confidence and commitment to our beautiful tri-island state,” it mentioned.

The Maurice Bishop International Airport was formerly known as Point Salines Airport. It is an international airport located in St George, Grenada. Earlier, it was known as Point Salines as it is situated on Point Salines, the southwestern point of the island. Later, it was named after former Prime Minister Maurice Bishop, who championed the construction project in 1979.
