Grenada Football Association to welcome US Goalkeeper coach Phil Wheddon on Nov 11

Grenada: Grenada Football Association (GFA) has expressed gratitude towards US Goalkeeper coach Phil Wheddon, who is schedules to arrive to the nation on November 11, 2022. According to GFA, some of the topics to be covered will include defending the goal, basic techniques and movement, repositioning and situational training.

While informing about the tour of the coach, the Grenada Football Association noted, “It’s just one more day before top US Goalkeeper coach Phil Wheddon comes to Grenada to conduct training sessions. He is scheduled to arrive on Friday November 11, 2022.”

Furthermore, they expressed thanks towards the Tourism Authority of Grenada and outlined, “Special thanks to the Grenada Tourism Authority for partnering with us by sponsoring Coach Wheddon’s accommodation.”

National goalkeeper Jason Belfon is happy to be back in training with the Senior Men’s National team after being in the US for some time, according to the post by Grenada Football Association.

The association has also informed that the Spiceboyz are in training at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium, twice weekly ahead of their Concacaf Nations League match against the USA at home in March 2023.

Jason will also be part of the goalkeeping training sessions this weekend, to be conducted by top US goalkeeping coach Phil Wheddon.

November 12 (Saturday)
9am-12pm GFA affiliate goalkeepers

November 12 (Saturday)
4pm-6pm Goalkeeper coaches

November 13 (Sunday)
9am-12pm All National goalkeepers

November 14 (Monday)
9am-12pm Secondary school goalkeepers
