Guyana: President of Dr. Irfaan Ali meets Commander of the U.S. Southern Command, Admiral Craig S. Faller to promote Defense Cooperation. Office of the President posted all the details about this Meeting on the official page of Facebook account.
Office of the President stated, “His Excellency, Dr. Irfaan Ali, accompanied dinner the previous night at the U.S. Ambassador’s residency to Guyana, Sarah Lynch, in honor of the visiting Commander of the U.S. Southern Command, Admiral Craig S. Faller.”
Why is Admiral Faller here?
Admiral Faller is here for a three-day visit. During this time, he and the Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defense Force, Brigadier Godfrey Bess, will be contracting an Acquiring and Cross-Servicing Alliance on account of the two countries.
Purpose of Transferring Goods or Services:
The Convention is commanded to overlay transferring goods or services of equal value to promote future two-sided defense cooperation.
U.S. Southern Command’s top military leader last attended the country in 2017, when Guyana became the first South American nation to host the Caribbean Nations Security Conference.
