Premier Brantley expresses pleasure after meeting American actor Kelsey Grammer in Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis and leader of Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) – Mark Brantley welcomed American actor, comedian, director, producer, and writer – Kelsey Grammer to Nevis on April 17, 2022.

Currently, the American actor is on tour to Nevis and has been enjoying the beauty of the island Federation.

Premier Brantley expressed the pleasure of meeting the actor and lauded the film industry for helping the country in growth during the phase of COVID-19. The industry has boosted the economy of the country amid the harsh time of the pandemic.

Premier Mark Brantley took social media to share an update of this meet and stated, “Truly an honour to welcome actor Kelsey Grammer to #Nevis for his latest #film.”

Furthermore, the leader mentioned, “The film industry on the island as one of my government’s responses to the Covid pandemic has been developing nicely.”

Earlier, in late March 2022, the Premier of Nevis lauded the people of St Kitts and Nevis for learning a new trade and playing an essential role in the production of movies on Nevis.

At that time, St Kitts and Nevis Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation, who is also the Minister in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) responsible for the Film Industry, stated that he felt good that all of the locals had been investing their time in learning new skills and doing something new. He praised the locals during the visit to the set of MSR Media’s latest production on Nevis.

He added, “I think you all should be proud because you are on the ground floor of what I hope to be a very important industry for St Kitts and Nevis.”

“I think that we have what it takes to become a player in the movie business in the region, and I really commend all of you, and I think that all of you should treat this as a university, as a training ground. It’s an opportunity to learn all that you can about film and film production and all that goes into it,” said Premier Brantley.
