Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew recalled the projects undertaken by the government during his ongoing tenure. The projects outlined by him have played a huge role in elevating St Kitts and Nevis to greater heights.
While shedding light on the approved projects, PM Drew stated that major projects take up to two years but these have been accomplished comparatively earlier than it takes time.
“Keeping in mind that major projects can take up to two years, these have been achieved in relatively quick order,” noted PM Terrance Drew.
The projects underscored include the new hospital, the solar project, the 2-million-gallon destination plant, Hotel Indigo, the housing project, the St. Peter’s main road, the geothermal project and the performing arts centre. This is about $1 billion EC in investment which will further strengthen the nation and will open doors to several opportunities for the citizens of the nation.
Along with that, the leader also criticized the previous government which was not able to complete even a single project under their tenure ship. Meanwhile, PM Drew’s administration has completed most of the projects even before the completion of 2 years.

The New Hospital

The Solar Project

The 2-million-gallon destination plant
While making the announcement of this project, PM Drew shared his motive of providing easy access to water to the people of St Kitts and Nevis. He added that clean and accessible water is a basic necessity for every human and through this initiative, he focuses on addressing all the water issues faced by St Kitts and Nevis.
Hotel Indigo
PM Drew announced the introduction of the globally renowned Hotel Indigo franchise to St Kitts and Nevis in a groundbreaking ceremony on 11th January 2024. While shedding light on the project, he stated that this project will play a significant role in boosting the tourism sector and stimulating the local economy.
The Housing Project
Under this project, the administration handed over two climate-smart model homes to two women with a vision to provide safe accommodation facilities. The main purpose behind it is to ensure the safety and security of the citizens from all the challenges faced during natural calamities.
St Peter’s main road project
The announcement of the construction of the site was made by the leader with a promise to facilitate all his citizens and improve their access to the areas. The project is still under the process of rehabilitation and is expected that the project will be completed within its projected time.
The Geothermal Project
The project was announced by the administration in collaboration with Saudi Arabia. With this project, PM Drew focused on fostering sustainable development empowering all its citizens and ensuring them a brighter future. This collaboration will also strive hard towards a greener path for the development of St Kitts and Nevis.
Performing Arts Centre
This project underscores PM Terrance Drew’s commitment towards enhancing and promoting cultural activities.
