PM Roosevelt Skerrit extends gratitude to educators on Teacher's Appreciation Day

The Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit acknowledged the hard work and dedication of all the educators by extending them best wishes on Teacher’s Appreciation Day. He recognized their endless patience, dedication, and passion for teaching and nurturing millions of children for better and thriving future.

While extending gratitude to all the teachers, PM Roosevelt Skerrit noted that they are grateful for their patience, care and steadfast commitment to cultivating the young minds of the children of their nation. He called teachers, the heart of the communities who are dedicating their time and energy to stimulating the minds and dreams of their students.

“Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our educators. Wishing you continued success and God’s richest blessings,” noted PM Roosevelt Skerrit.

PM Skerrit stated that these teachers not only impart knowledge but inspire dreams, shape futures, and ignite a love for learning among several students. He added that their impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and their kindness and guidance help build the leaders of tomorrow.

The Prime Minister thanked all of them for their unwavering commitment and for making a difference in the lives of so many.

Moreover, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit also took to her social media account and extended wishes to all the teachers. She recognized and thanked them for moulding the future of the nation and giving them the opportunity to fly higher and laying down the necessary path leading them to success and a brighter, prosperous future.

“Thank you to all the teachers who help to mold our future. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication,” noted Minister Melissa Skerrit. She also thanked all the teachers for their dedication that they put into the teaching of their child.

Also, a week of activities was celebrated with a vision to celebrate teachers across Dominica for their hard work and dedication. The activities were conducted under the theme “Valuing Teacher Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education.”
