The PM was quoted as, “I reaffirm my commitment to providing law enforcement officials with resources that will assist in citizen security. I again call on the High Command of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force to use every available measure in our quest for peace.”
Prime Minister further underscored, “There are no winners in this; our country is at a cross-road, and we need to choose the path of peace and prosperity to all.”
“I pledge my unflinching support to the observance of the law and justice for all.” PM Pierre stated while adding, “May God continue to be our guide.
“Officer Timaitre was part of the Police Guard, which I had the honour of inspecting during the Independence Military Tattoo,” Prime Minister Pierre concluded.
The officer lost his life during a shooting incident at Bocage, Castries, on Saturday night. During this shooting incident, another officer faced injuries and was hospitalized.
