Roseau, Dominica: Ocean Edge Hotel is undergoing development and Tourism Minister, Denise Charles led a tour with the Sub-Committee on Tourism initiatives, where the housing minister, Melissa Skerrit as well arrived. They explored major hotel developments in Dominica.
Ocean Edge Hotel of Dominica is five minutes’ drive from Roseau. It is a CBI (Citizenship by Investment) Property. The Citizenship by Investment Programme allows people to invest to receive benefits for a longer time. Special benefits under the programme enhance lifetime security and offer certain privileges.
The Dominica Ministry of Tourism also mentioned that the property is set to open its doors in October 2024. The month of October is also considered as the Creole month. This time of the year in the Caribbean region holds special space as the hustle and bustle around the country makes it one of the best places to visit.
“Perfectly timed for the Dominica World Creole Music Festival,” mentioned the Tourism Ministry.
By quoting such a statement, the ministry released the opening of the hotel during special times. The Creole season in the country holds great significance in showcasing the unique and vibrant culture of the region.
People in significant numbers arrive in the country during this time of year which signifies the increase in the tourism sector. This time of the year marks the most exciting and joyous times in the region, attracting the people all over the world through their fascinating cultural items.
And, the opening of such a property which is perfect to offer all the luxuries to the guests would render a different direction to the tourism sector. Ocean Edge Hotel would offer special features such as the 37 ocean view rooms, executive suite, games room, fitness center, gym, spa, pier facilities.
The hotel as well includes two restaurants, these will provide luxurious dining and high-end diving and whale watching. The Ministry of Tourism also shared some of the glimpses from the construction site of Ocean Edge Hotel.

Such a visit paid by the authorities for the project update reveals the commitment and dedication of the authorities towards fulfilling the developmental goals.
