MV Guidance II disappeared one month ago, still not found

St Vincent and the Grenadines: A 150-foot vessel with the white superstructure, the MV Guidance II has still not been discovered since its disappearance from 1st July 2024. The vessel was carrying five crew members, including the captain of the cruise who still have not been found.
Notably, the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force have currently launched an investigation into the disappearance of the vessel. As per the details, the vessel was captained by Maxwell Bruke that was caught in the Hurricane Beryl which resulted in causing severe damages to its communication and GPS systems.
Therefore, the ship drifted many miles from its last position. According to the information shared by the authorities, the vessel’s last position was in the Canouan Island Harbour.
Moreover, the authorities of St Vincent and the Grenadines released an official statement and urged the resident with any information to share with them which could lead to the safe recovery of the vessel and its crew members.
While sharing the conditions of the family members, the authorities noted that the disappearance of the vessel has left the families of the crew members in a state of distress. The devastating effects of Hurricane Beryl caused immense destruction when it passed St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Bery left 90% of the Union Island severely damaged and destroyed. The storm which grew from a tropical depression to major hurricane was described as an extremely dangerous. Not only the Union Island was devastated but also the island of Bequia had damage which resulted in the death of one person.
This Beryl also resulted in the disappearance of MV Guidance II which is still a mystery for all. The authorities of St Vincent and the Grenadines are continuing with the search investigation and have urged for the public assistance and have asked them to come forward to help them in this vital investigation.
