Jammu and Kashmir, India: Union Home Minister of India Amit Shah is on visit to Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to participate in a high-level meeting with the officials in Jammu on Friday, 13, 2023. The meeting will focus on security-related issues in the territory.
The meeting will be attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who received him at Jammu Airport. Union Home Minister Shah arrived Jammu on Friday and met will the families of those who were killed in a terror attack in Rajouri, India.
According to the update by the news agency of India – Asian News International, Shah visited the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir and following to the visit to the families, he reviewed the ground situation. The Union Home Minister was accompanied by the security forces of India, informed sources.
The visit of Amit Shah was scheduled after the Rajouri district witnessed twin terror attacks, to which six (6) residents were succumbed. As per the sources, four were gunned down on the evening of the New Year – January 1, while two children were killed after Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast blasted in the Upper Dhangri village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on January 2 morning.
According to the update by the India-based news agency, Shah will visit to the terrorist attack spot and will survey the location.
While sharing the schedule of Amit Shah’s trip, ANI informed that after reaching Rajouri, Shah will visit Dhangri to inspect the site of terror attacks. Then he will talk with the families of the victims.
Prior to this, on January 9, Amit Shah hosted a crucial meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s top leaders of the unit of Jammu and Kashmir at his residence in New Delhi, the capital of India. The aim behind the meeting was increasing terror attacks in the Kashmir Valley.
