HelpAWS shares heartfelt story of Sasha

Castries, Saint Lucia: HelpAWS shared a story of beautiful female dog Sasha, who entered the organisation in a miserable condition.

“This is a story about a beautiful girl named Sasha,” underlined the dog shelter, through its official social media post.

“We found her tied up with a rope and severely malnourished and dehydrated. Her body was almost completely emaciated. To make matters worse, she was trying her best to take care of her seven babies with barely any food and water for herself. Talk about a mother’s love. She was quite nervous at first, and like a good mother her first instinct was to protect her babies,” it organisation expressed.

After a few days of spending time with her and her babies and giving her lots of food, she opened up. She has the most quirky personality and it was so good to see her flourish and not be scared anymore.

After a few months in the shelter she was finally ready to head over to Canada to find her forever family. Unfortunately, shortly after she arrived she was diagnosed with TVT (a sexually transmitted disease). Luckily we were able to get her the best treatment possible and not long after she was given a clean bill of health.

Sasha was rescued by a wonderful family where she is able to spend all her days smiling and living the best life that she so badly deserved.

It further expressed, stories like hers are what keeps us going on most days that we want to give up. This gorgeous girl was struggling but managed to fight for herself and her 7 babies.

“And without our wonderful supporters and donors we wouldn’t have been able to get Sasha the help she needed to live out her Cinderella Story,” it mentioned.

HelpAWS added, “If you would like to give one of the many puppies their own fairytale story then please consider adopting one of the many babies we have available for adoption, currently we have 14 babies coming to Toronto in a few days and they are in search of their forever.”
