The President said that the old roads would be rehabilitated while new ones would be constructed. These works, he added, will be done in collaboration with the community. The government of the country is also in the process of regularising an area in the community where more than 50 households are squatting. Expectedly, the process will be completed by the end of the year.

The Head of State highlighted that his government has one narrative and agenda— to unite the citizens under the ‘One Guyana’ banner and to bring prosperity to all. This transformative plan, he added, is well underway.

Attorney General and Legal Affairs Minister; Anil Nandlall; Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha; Local Government and Regional Development Minister; Nigel Dharamlall; Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar; Minister within the Housing and Water, Susan Rodrigues Ministry; other government officials and technical staff from the various ministries were also at the outreach.

Additionally, Dr Irfaan Ali assured residents of Pigeon Island, East 3Coast Demerara, that the development, progress and advancement of every community across the country are paramount.
