Grenada’s government permits fully vaccinated fans to attend T-20 matches

The decision has been made at the request of the Grenada government. The decision was made after the collaboration between the Grenada Cricket Association and Cricket West Indies, and Ministry of Health.

CWI chief executive Johnny Grave said that following the return of fans during the second Test in St Lucia, they have been delighted to gradually welcome back fans into the stands at the Grenada National Stadium.

The person that wants to attend the match should have to get vaccinated with the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine before 14 days to attend the match. The person should also get proof of the vaccination with national identification before being they would purchase a ticket. All fans have to wear face masks throughout the matches and follow the guidelines of social distancing.

Limited numbers of shops and vendors would be permitted, whereas the fans have also been permitted to bring their own eatables.

Fans will pay EC$50 US$18.50 for 1 match day or buy five-match season passes for a special price of EC$200.

Matches would be playing next Sunday, June 29, July 1 and July 3 starting at 2 pm Eastern Caribbean time.

The second Test versus South Africa, which covered up at the Daren Sammy National Stadium on Monday, considered the return of fans to international cricket in the area for the first time since the pandemic outbreak last year.
