Saint Lucia’s Golden Girl, Julien Alfred nominated at the inaugural Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) Sports Awards for her exceptional performance in Paris Olympics 2024 and bringing laurels to the nation by winning first-ever Olympic medal for her country.

This award ceremony will take place on 19th October 2024 in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. This prestigious event recognizes the top athletes, teams, sports leaders and the Caribbean’s top athletes who are making continuous efforts in order to promote sustainability and excellence in sports sector.

Along with her, Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Dominican Republic’s Marileidy Paulino, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ Shafiqua Maloney, and Jamaica’s Shanieka Ricketts have also been named among the nominees.

Recently, she has also been announced as the Tourism Ambassador for the island nation on 26th September, 2024. Moreover, Saint Lucia celebrated Julien Alfred Day on 27th September, 2024 and the Government honoured her with XCD $1,000,000 and a plot of land of her choice measuring 10, 720 square feet.

Along with that, Millennium Highway will also be renamed after her in order to honour her accomplishment as well as the authorities announced to construct a monument in her honour at the new Cul de Sac Roundabout and a commemorative exercise book with photos.
