The German Travelers visited Dominica for a FAM (Familiarization) trip. They received a warm welcome from the Dominican family on their arrival to the country.

Roseau, Dominica: German travelers visited Dominica for a Familiarization (FAM) trip and received a warm welcome from Dominican families upon their arrival in the country.

During this trip, a group of 13 travel professionals, including sales agents, agency directors, owners, and managers, explored several locations in the north of the island and enjoyed local cuisine. The locations they explored included Syndicate Falls, Cabrits National Park with Dr. Lennox Honychurch, and Bell Hall Beach Spot.

The German travel market is known for its fondness for hiking and outdoor adventures, making Dominica one of the preferred destinations for travelers from Germany.

The FAM trip is part of Discover Dominica’s efforts to attract international travelers. It was organized by Arbeitsgemeinschaft Karibik (AGK) in partnership with Star Clipper Cruise Ship, offering unique eco-tourism experiences to explorers.

An authority shared glimpses from the FAM trip, revealing the visitors’ pleasure. One of the visitors expressed joy, stating, “I absolutely love this,” mentioned Candi Krueger.

Familiarization Trip

Familiarization trips are typically designed for influencers, bloggers, and individuals connected with the tourism industry. The main objective is to familiarize them with tour operations, attractions, hotel chains, traditions, culture, and more.

Dominica organized the FAM trip for international travelers to facilitate their exploration of the region. Prior to the trip by German travelers, a similar trip was conducted by people from Caribbean Airlines.

Notably, the previous trip focused on exploring the signature Emerald Pool and Rosalie Bay Eco Resort in November. A press conference hosted by the Discover Dominica Authority greeted the visitors.

The trip benefited local businesses, hoteliers, accommodations, and natural sites on the island. It contributed to enhancing destination knowledge and supporting the promotion of travel to Dominica.
