The Commonwealth of Dominica will be hosting its home match in Suriname against Guyana on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
It is to be noted that the details about the above mentioned has been shared by the Dominica Football Association via their official social media handle.
Considering the details, the coaching staff of the Dominica National Senior Women’s Football Team has added a new overseas-based defender to its squad, ahead of the group stage matches in CONCACAF’s Road to W Gold Cup, which will take place in Suriname.
As per the details shared by the Dominica Football Association, Selena Lancaster, from Canada, joined the Dominica National Senior Women’s Football Team.
Lancaster joined the team for the first time, while another Canada-based player, Tafari Natti Bertrand, will make a comeback to the team after some years.
Notably, another change is Kezzy Vigilant, who has been called up since she last played for the team in its home match against Suriname. She played in the opening round of the 2023 Road to W Gold Cup.
The Dominican women’s football team will face Suriname for an away match.
Both the games will be held at the Dr Ir. Franklin Essed Stadium. Therefore, the Guyana and Suriname matches are the team’s fifth and sixth matches, respectively, in Group A League B of the 2023 Women’s Gold Cup Qualifier.

Additionally, Dr Ir. Franklin Essed Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname, which was formerly known as the Flora Stadium and commonly called the Frank Essed Stadium.
The stadium is home to Royal ’95, Leo Victor Cosmos and Super Red Eagles. It is named after the Surinamese politician and forestry scientist Frank Essed.
The Dominican National Senior Women’s Football Team is supposed to leave for Suriname on Friday, November 24, 2023.
Notably, the Dominica women’s national football team is the national football team of Dominica, and it is overseen by the Dominica Football Association.
